| Review: Good anti-hero is a wonderful thing, and Riddick is a laudable example. Having watched the evolution of this character for a very good sci-fi trip (Pitch Black) and one very passable sci-fi mega-productions (The Chronicles of Riddick), it was nice to welcome him to the smaller budgets and authentic claustrophobia that fit fugitive.Riddick Interstellar is a film that delivers what its core audience wants: a story not wander away from what has been established, although it is unfortunate drift to how amazing is this guy? which affects so many film series (cf. Iron Man, Dirty Harry, Rocky). However, the action was, and had a fabulous and fun, and director David Twohy does a great job of keeping you on the same space in which you first joined this trip. In short, Riddick is a place-on, while Riddick was a little overblown.I will not reveal the ending, but I will reveal that I was a little disappointed in their neatness. Written clearly has more faith in the redeeming power of the revelation of the truth than I do. Regardless, for the period that I was in the theater, I had a good time with my friends hazardous Richard Riddick, and I think that anyone who liked the first two films will do the same. Especially recommended for those who prefer Pitch Black to The Chronicles of Riddick. David Twohy is back home and feeling fine. |
